Prof. Dr. Nihel Chabrak is a globally recognized expert in climate finance, carbon markets, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with over two decades of transformative leadership across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

A graduate of IHEC Carthage who earned her Ph.D. at the University of Paris Dauphine, she has remained closely engaged with Tunisia throughout her career. As Director of the EU Tempus Meda project, she established Tunisia’s first entrepreneurship master’s program and its first university incubator, and co-founded the International Critical Studies in Accounting and Finance Conference in Tunis. She served as a member of the Tunisian Delegation at COP28 and COP29, and designed the capacity-building program that prepared the Tunisian delegation for COP29 negotiations.

In 2024 she founded Vision Nest, a strategic advisory firm working on sustainability strategy, carbon markets, and Article 6 implementation, guided by a vision of a “Regenerative Anthropocene for All Forms of Life.” She is co-founder and advisor to AirImpact, a deep tech platform for nature-based carbon projects across Africa, and led the Great Green Action initiative at COP28.

Previously CEO of the UAE University Science and Innovation Park, where she guided 40+ startups with 70% female founders, and Executive Director of the first-ever university pavilion at a World Expo. She is an Associate at the University of Edinburgh Business School, Ambassador of the German University of Digital Science, a Responsible Leader with the BMW Foundation, and a Climate Reality Leader.
