Brief info

Born in Djerba island, south of Tunisia he lived and studied in Tunis.

After a complete cursus of legal studies and obtention of the certificate of aptitude for the profession of lawyer and following a brief passage through journalism Ahmed Bassalah decided to join the French Air Force school as Tunisian officer.

He held then several positions in the Tunisian Air Force.

After he left the army he joined in 1985 Shell Group where he held several positions in Tunisia and abroad : legal and insurance department responsibility, communication and crisis
mangament, marketing, sales and operations mgt, Chairman and GM of shell companies in Tunisia,

He joined in 2011 ENOC (Emirates National Oil Company) in Dubai as strategy advisor to the CEO.

He particiapated to the foundation of Solartech , a Tunisian technoparc private project trageting the nexus; Water, Energy and Food, covering traing, research and production activities.

Ahmed Bassalah develops, presently, an agricole project, mainly olive oil.

He taught the business culture of institutions at the faculty of legal sciences in Tunis-Ariana.

He also participated in the foundation and management of several associations such as association Injaz Tunisia (Development of initiative and innovation among younth at early stage),
association tunisenne de droit social, Tunisan Forum for Knowlege and Development, International Federaion ofr Knowledge and Development, Tunisian Talents United.

He has chaired the association of occupational health of Tunis and was president of the chamber of oil companies at the UTICA ( Tunisian employers organisation)
and of the Tunisian-Dutch Chamber of Commerce and Industry, of which he is still honorary president and was board member of IACE (Institut Arabe des chefs d'entreprises) .

He was also vice-president of the Tunisan-British Friendship associaon..
