About the Presenter
Prof. Nihel Chabrak is a globally recognized expert in sustainable development, climate action, and carbon markets. As a member of the Tunisian Delegation at COP28 in Dubai, she brings firsthand experience in international climate negotiations to this capacity-building session.
Prof. Chabrak is the Founder and CEO of Vision Nest, a company dedicated to transforming human impact on the environment through research-driven sustainability solutions. Her leadership of the Great Green Action initiative at COP28 demonstrates her ability to mobilize diverse stakeholders around ambitious environmental goals. As a Climate Reality Leader and Climate Fresk Facilitator, she makes complex climate issues accessible and actionable.
Her extensive experience includes serving as CEO of the UAE University Science and Innovation Park, Executive Director of the Institute of the Future, and Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) UAE Chairperson. Her role as Coordinator of the Dubai Declaration on Sustainable Finance has given her deep insights into the financial aspects of climate action.
Prof. Chabrak’s unique blend of academic expertise, practical experience in climate negotiations, and leadership in sustainability initiatives makes her ideally suited to guide participants through the complexities of the UNFCCC process.
